Prashanthi Chitre born and brought up in the City of Hyderabad from India has been learning dance in different forms and styles nearly all her life. She started learning Bharatnatyam at the tender age of 4 and continued for an year before her Guru had to relocate out of Hyderabad. She switched to learning folk dance at school for few years. And at the age of 10, she started her venture into the Indian classical dance again, this time into a different style – Kuchipudi, the classical dance form of Andhra Pradesh from her Guru Vasundhara.
